Our Roots

Small Town Girl

Jen O'Hara, the Co-Founder of the iconic outdoor fashion line, Girls with Guns Clothing® (GWG) is a Northern California native. Although she has resided in the small ranching community of Red Bluff for the past 25 years, she is originally from Adin, California, an even smaller town in Modoc County that boasts a population of 400 people. While she grew up in a family of hunters and outdoorsmen, it wasn’t until she was in her late 20’s that she had the opportunity to start hunting and fill her own tags. After her first successful big game hunt for a California Blacktail, her love of guns, hunting and her passion for conservation was born!

GWGTV is Born

Since that day, Jen has proven herself to be an accomplished hunter, filling the freezer with species ranging from duck, snow geese, dove, and pheasant, to hog, both black and whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, and bear. With the growing success of Girls with Guns Clothing® came an opportunity in 2013 to film a TV show, Girls with Guns TV, which aired on Sportsmans Channel and Pursuit Channel for several years. GWGTV has been a part of her journey for the past 10 years. The experience that GWGTV has given her as a hunter has been invaluable, allowing her to visit over 10 countries, and harvest exotic species such as kudu, springbok, zebra, lion, ostrich, hippo, warthog, red stag, bongo, and many more.

It's a lifestyle

LivInOutdoors

In 2023, GWGTV evolved into LivInOutdoors. This is a lifestyle digital series airing on CarbonTV where Jen focuses on sharing who she really is. There is nothing more that an audience loves than someone who is authentic! She is an adventurous mom who is passionate about the outdoors and her 2nd Amendment Right. She shares her experiences - everything from training and teaching self defense at the gun range, to feeding her family by going on a hunt. Jen loves to show her audience how to cook venison, start canning, build a chicken coop and live a homesteading lifestyle. She also shares her daily mom adventures, making her highly relatable. Come along for the journey and experience outdoor living. Adventure Awaits!
